Stuart Timmons is a writer who is fascinated by both Los Angeles history and gay history.

His 1990 biography, The Trouble With Harry Hay: Founder of the Modern Gay Movement, was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award and an American Library Association Award.

He has worked as a journalist and researcher as well as a fiction writer. Los Angeles has been his home for thirty years.
